Married 5 years, an 18 month old boy, and 1 dog HER STORY
Dear husband (DH) and I met in college. He was an ROTC student. So he has been in the military since we met. At the time, he had a 4 year commitment after college- very doable. We married in the summer and finished our last two years of undergrad together. I know we were young, but I loved being married in college. Thank heavens we had that time together, because it doesn't feel like we've had much since. With one year of college left, he got his pilot's slot, which included 2 years of training and a 10 year commitment (4 turned to 12 in a hurry!). I have a B.S. in Soil and Land Resources, which I am putting to good use planting a garden and playing with my 18 month little boy. Being a mom is a career and I love it. I hope you find a community here where you can let down your guard and just be you.

HER STORY
I’m an overseas military wife, living the stay at home mommy life. Some moments I think I have the toughest boss in the world, but most of the time I think I have the best, who else would let me nap in the middle of the day? I used to be anti-blogging, but now I’ve embraced the bloggesphere, especially since I am thousands of miles away from home. In the few short years I’ve been in the military community I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the brave men and women who serve our Country…and their families! I think military wives are some of the strongest women in the world, they have to be. And the days they aren’t, they can visit our blog!
